Independent inventor proposed a hydrogen fueled gun-engine to increase engine efficiency significantly. The proposed gun engine also offers fuel flexibility ranging from gasoline, natural gas as well as hydrogen.
Abstract
This presentation deals with hydrogen generation from water
that utilizes large solar panels as source of electric energy
for electrolysis of water. Basically the hydrogen generation
unite is comprised of : a space partly filled with water with
a Cathode on which hydrogen separates and; a space partly
filled with water with Anode on which Oxygen separates. Both
spaces are connected at the bottom. The volume of the hydrogen
space should be twice that of oxygen. On top of each space
a vale to release adequate gas is placed. Both, Hydrogen and
Oxygen are directed to the fuel pre-processing device of the
gun-engine. These could fuel gun-engine alone or could blend
with other fuels to enhance economy of a car or electricity
generation.
A magic mileage 300mil/gal is real
This invention proposes a vehicle that could be fueled with
a variety of fuels, including hydrogen. Its fuel consumption
could be as low as 300 miles/gal of equivalent fuel. The words
"equivalent fuel" should be understood as such an
amount of fuel that would produce the same heat (when burnt)
as one gallon of gasoline. The invented car is equipped with:
a tank for liquid fuels that could be filled either with:
a gasoline; diesel fuel; bio-fuels or alcohol (also could
be filled with blends of some, or all of the above); a cylinder
for gaseous fuels such as natural gas, hydrogen or bio-methane;
a cylinder for liquefied gases such as propane or butane.
Also, the car comprises a Hydrogen Generation Unite that uses
a solar panel or panels to produce Hydrogen from water by
electrolysis, so the invention is self fueled with hydrogen
during sunny periods. In addition the invention proposes variety
of vehicles including an amphibious and amphibious flying
over water surface vehicle that utilizes the WIG effect (wing
in ground effect) which improves lift
This presentation deals with the efficiency of engines.First
it discusses inherited problems; handed down from one generation
of engines to another and later it explains wrong trends in
over century long history of development of engines, including
the recent trends that do not deal with the inherited systematic
blunders, so uselessly burn taxpayer money preserving the
causes of inefficiency in engines.
Since diesel or gasoline engines are so infested with causes
of inefficiency that any improvement is useless and only a
different engine counts, the presentation proposes a gun-engine
that converts heat, wasted through radiator in diesel, into
extra work.The gun-engine is an internal explosion engine
in which the radiator has been replaced with an internal cooling
to preserve the heat.
In addition the heat is converted into extra work and that
quadruples the efficiency over that of diesel engine. That
indeed cuts the fuel consumption in 80%, which cuts GHG emissions
in 80%. In contrary to current trend that rather slow down
energy release from fuel the gun-engine uses acceleration
of energy release to increase power from the same fuel. That
relates directly to the definition of power that is energy
release in time.
The gun-engine, by deign, destines to explode fuel, therefore
the best fuel is Hydrogen. The 80% efficiency makes the gun-engine
a better alternative to 50% efficient fuel cell. Yet its fueling
is no limited to hydrogen, therefore it is the best alternative
to the transient period, when hydrogen infrastructure is not
completed.
