KRATZER AUTOMATION offers test systems for the development of vehicles with alternative drive concepts, including hybrid vehicles with fuel cells as a power source.
An important unit for the testing of electric components is the high dynamic DC power converter, that can be configured either as energy source or drain. A flexible connecting concept allows these power converters to be combined with a powertrain test stand. Components missing on the test stand are simulated via real-time models. A further application is the testing of single components e.g. energy accumulators. Test stands that, as an option, can be equipped with climatic chambers, are used to determine: electrical parameters and characteristics, efficiency, dynamic performance as well as thermal behavior.
Another point of focus are test stands for compressors and expanders, components required in fuel cell air management. Conditioning units developed specially for these components allow reproducible testing.
Fuel cell system test stands are used to test complete systems with and without a reformer. The modular concept allows the flexible connection of real components, the units under test, with test stand components.
