Minister Methling visited at the Group Exhibits "Hydrogen
+ Fuel Cells - Technologies" the booth of the Company
of Applied Technologies. Here he got information about the
activities of the company from Lubmin near Greifswald (Mecklenburg-Western
Pomerania).
The German Hydrogen
Association (DWV) offered the Minister help regarding
all questions about the use of renewable energy sources.
Dr. Stefan Nettesheim from Sachsenring Entwicklungsgesellschaft
mbH Zwickau and a representative of the Center
for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research
Baden-Wuerttemberg (ZSW) Ulm showed results of their
cooperation regarding the use of Fuel Cell Systems for marine
applications.

Minister Dietzel said: Last year I have been at the Group
Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells. This year the exposition area is
much bigger and the fuel cell technology and its applications have
been improved. The price development is so interesting that fuel
cell technology will come soon into the market.
He visited in Hall 13 some of our Exhibitors, also the
booth of Alstom
Ballard GmbH, where Michael Scheefer illustrates the
model of an industrially used back-up-system that generates
energy from hydrogen made out of natural gas.
